US coronavirus deaths pass 80,000

The death toll from COVID-19 in the United States has now surpassed 80,000, making it the world’s hardest-hit country.
But President Donald Trump says America is now on track to defeat the virus and has encouraged Democrat-governed states to lift their lockdowns.
